ANZTLA 2009
Softlink is a supporter of the 24th Annual ANZTLA Conference starting this week in Canberra.
Hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Theological Library Association (ANZTLA), the four day conference attracts over 70 delegates from theological or religious organisations, including small denominational, to large academic libraries across Australia and New Zealand.
The conference program investigates developments in library management, new learning techniques and technologies that facilitate the study of theology in the digital age. Softlink's Liberty solution currently manages information resources and learning materials at several ANZTLA institutions, including 25 percent of New-South-Wales-based representatives to facilitate studies.
2009 marks the bicentenary of the birth of Charles Darwin and the 150th anniversary of his landmark publication, 'The Origin of Species'. The conference keynote speaker, Professor Tom Frame will open the conference with a discussion about his own publication 'In the Antipodes: Charles Darwin and Australia'.
Delegates will also tour the National Library of Australia and the Australian Catholic University Campus.
With an international client base that includes theological and academic libraries across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US, Softlink is proud to support this local membership and its students with advanced information management solutions.
