Softlink launches Library Link iPhone & Android Application
Softlink, world-leading developer in Knowledge, Content & Library Management Solutions, announces the launch of the Library Link mobile application for Android and iPhones, giving borrower access to Liberty and Oliver information on the go.
Integrated with Softlink's Information Management Systems, Library Link enables users to search for resources, place renewals, and check alert messages for holds and overdues. The application also features a barcode scanner to automatically retrieve resource records from the system.
"After providing support for iPads and Android tablets via browsers, Library Link is the next step in offering extended access to the library for mobile users," says Mr Steven Mayocchi, Softlink's Development Manager.
"Softlink's current focus is to provide mobile solutions for schools and resource centres to enhance their service delivery and we will continually offer the latest technology innovations for our users."
Softlink users can download Library Link for free from the
iTunes App Store or
Google Play. The application is available to those with Oliver/Liberty v5 Build 4 or higher, and a web services API module.
Library Link is a part of the Hermes Communication and Integration Suite, providing a full suite of mobile computing features to students and teaching professionals.
