Softlink Liberty - A Major New Win
Softlink’s Liberty software has recently been chosen and implemented by the Oireachtas Library Research Service (the Library and Research Service of the Irish Houses of Parliament). A major programme of cataloguing has been underway, fully integrating the bibliographic collection with papers digitised using ArchivalWare from PTFS. This combination allows the library to provide members of the Irish Houses of Parliament to use Liberty’s sophisticated search tools allowing quick access to accurate information. Liberty is a powerful and cost effective solution in use in a wide range of libraries.
Supplying the Oireachtas library is one of a series of major implementations of Liberty that Softlink have been responsible for recently. Other major recent wins include Allen and Overy, The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom and in addition a number of smaller libraries have implemented Liberty, reflecting the flexibility and cost effectiveness of the Management Software.
Softlink was the first company to introduce fully web based Library Management Software nearly 10 years ago. With full international round-the-clock support the company is able to cater for the needs of local or multinational companies who are seeking to integrate resources across a number of offices.
