Softlink Postures for Expansion

Friday, September 11 2009

Softlink International will implement a new management structure across its Australian and US operations to support expansion.

CEO Kim Duffy announced the promotion of key staff to head Softlink America and established a new Chief Operating Officer role at Softlink’s Brisbane Head office last week.

“This executive team combines talent and the experience to best facilitate our current growth strategies,” he said.

Manager of Softlink Pacific, Catherine Leonard, will relocate to the US to manage Softlink America from its Seattle office. Leonard has 25 years experience in the library and information management industry, including ten at Softlink and five years as Manager of Softlink Pacific in Auckland.

“There are exciting prospects for expansion and growth for our US operation and Catherine is well equipped to lead the group through this critical phase,” said Duffy.

In five years, Leonard has refined sales and support systems to make Softlink Pacific one of Softlink’s most successful entities. Leonard’s appointment illustrates renewed focus upon opportunities in the US for Softlink’s range of information management solutions for Health, Law, Government and Tertiary organisations and school districts.

“The team at Softlink Pacific produced a truly great result in all aspects of their operation last year,” said Duffy.

Softlink’s Chief Financial Officer Nathan Godfrey has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at Softlink’s Brisbane head office. During his seven years with the company, Godfrey has administered Softlink through critical growth, including the recent acquisition of Softlink’s UK distributor, Softlink Europe. In his new role, Godfrey will be responsible for Softlink’s Australian, New Zealand, UK and US operations to allow Duffy to focus upon Softlink’s strategic direction and global expansion.

The staffing announcement coincides with the anniversary of Duffy’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer at Softlink. In 12 months he has established a new Professional Services business unit including hosting services, the acquisition of Softlink’s UK distributor, Softlink Europe and implemented new corporate and product strategies that maximise international market opportunities for Softlink.
