Softlink CEO and co-founder, Bob Dunne has announced his retirement with the appointment of Kim Duffy as the new Global Chief Executive Officer.

Formerly CEO of ISS and TSW International, Duffy's career to date has demonstrated an ability to successfully manage, develop and expand operations to meet and create demand in an International market.

Effective mid-August, Duffy's appointment promises to continue the global momentum established by Dunne over his 24 years at Softlink.   During this time Dunne has been instrumental in growing the company from a start-up to its leadership position in the International Library and Information Management software industry.

As CEO, Dunne has spent the last seven years broadening and establishing the company as an information specialist in the Government, Corporate and Public library markets in Australia and overseas with its SQL-based Liberty solution and increasing its share of the school market with its Oliver suite.

Dunne has also been credited with establishing Softlink's presence in the USA through its Los Angeles based US subsidiary.  This has lead to significant success with many global corporations including Microsoft, Kellogg's, McDonalds and British Petroleum becoming Softlink customers in recent years.

"During my 24 years at Softlink, I have worked with many excellent people who have helped grow the business into the successful organisation it is today.  I have every confidence in the current team under the leadership of the Softlink Board and new CEO to continue the strong growth in the years ahead," said Dunne.

"Over the last twelve months we have won some of the biggest contracts in Softlink's history across school, government and corporate sectors, with our latest product suites. I can step aside knowing that I am leaving the company in good shape for the future. I and my brother John, as founders of the company, will continue to be involved both as shareholders and consultants."

In his new role as Global Chief Executive Officer of Softlink, Duffy will manage Softlink's worldwide operations which involve an international network of over 30 offices and agents.

Duffy will also maintain his advisory role as a member of the Australian Federal Critical Protection Advisory Infrastructure Group.
